~Corticarte Apa Lagranges~

To type out her name and the title of the series she comes from would probably cause the whole title to look wonky, but dang, what a mouthful alright. Anyways, Corti is a contracted spirit from the anime “Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica”. The series first made it as a game (non-adult) on the PC I believe, later making it’s way into anime form, and just recently, parts 3 & 4 of the story was released for the PS2. Anyways, Corti has two forms, this form being the form she generally appears in due to the fact that her dantist (contractor) sort of forgot about her and hasn’t played songs for her, thus reducing her to this rather child-like appearance normally.

A figure I missed the early bird on, then ordered normally, then cancelled, then I finally caved and got her just slightly after release. Not that I didn’t like her though, but with a crazy influx of games last month, I decided to play it safe, then decided I could get her after all :p And I’m pretty happy I did ^^

Foot feels solid so not much worry of leaning. The last figure I had like that was Fauna by Alter and I don’t see any problems yet with her after quite a fair amount of time has passed, so I’m expecting Corti to hold up for awhile too.

Can’t say it looks like her in the anime. I think it’s the eyes that are slightly off, I know it’s Corti, but then it always seemed to me that she was somewhat inconsistent throughout the anime ^^;

One of the highlights for me. Her hair is just awesome for me. Sweet color to begin with too ^^

Read somewhere that she has a really awesome zipper and I totally agree,  her clothes are sculpted very nicely. From the zipper on the front to the inner lining of her skirt, it’s just really well done.

Her lower half is really nice, and for those who agree and state that the Shuraki’s had great detail on their underwear, GSC continues that tradition with Corti as well ^^;

Her legs are something I enjoy as well. The shading on the stockings, the paint job on the boots. Really nice.

The pattern embossed on the base would be Corti’s wings I believe. A rather plain base by GSC’s standards, but a far cry better than just a plain base I suppose.

Not a lot I could really shoot with her pose as such unfortunately. Lighting on the front probably could have been done better as well :p I’m the type that has more off-days than on I suppose xD

Lovely hair, lovely clothes, not much to dislike about this figure if you liked the anime. Probably will be my only Corti though since the grown up version of Corti by Movic pretty much has just one selling point to it (for me anyway). She didn’t appear in that mode too much for me to like it anyway. Though if I get the game for Polyphonica, that might change in the end ^^; Pray for me guys!

    Seems a really nice figure!

    Oooh, I was tempted by this. Her pose and clothes appealed, but I had no idea about the characters so I resisted~

    Great photos, I liked the green background ones more than the ones with props tho, but it’s prolly not because of the lighting.

    great pose, I always like figurine with dynamic pose. same as aya, I like her pose and clothes are the main appeal.

    Didn’t get her because I got too many figures and games coming in :D

    somehow I feel that the colors are abit pale for this photoshoot, maybe because she’s not that colorful ^^;

    A really nice figure but only being hold by one peg with such a pose really worries me. So did you solve that out with aka :P ?

    i missed on this one. am thinking of getting her through some other channel. really like the matching colors of her hair, uniform and stockings.

    I ALMOST bought this one because of the nice detailing in the clothing – the zipper, the boots, it all looks really nice. I also like the dynamic pose. What stopped me from buying? I don’t think I have much of a choice anymore at this point… need to be selective.

    Your lighting nowadays look very cold and desaturated when it comes to your diorama setups. The regular shots have great lighting though. Is it the white balance? Are you using fluorescent lighting? Whatever it is, it doesn’t look very natural… hmmm… looks like Ron has the same comments about your lighting too.

    Wow, on one peg and in that kind of pose…crazy. I like the zipper, great detail. Though I probably won’t get her, the face looks a little chubby to me ;p. No pantsu shots ;p.

    Damn! with Telos, that makes two figures I decided to not buy, and there you go, teasing me with all those nice pictures…. rraaahhh that’s too cruel!!
    That zettai ryouiki, yummy, I’d give her a A+ rank ^^;
    Maybe I’ll think again about purchasing her, in one month or two, if she’s still available. 6k yens is really too much imo :/

  9. Samejima says:

    Hmmm… dropped the anime after watching a few episodes… dunno why…
    Nice photos… what did you use for the background? Is that a cloth that is used for studios?

    @Gorgo: She really is a sweet figure =) Thankfully I picked her up just before she sold out and got her just that little bit cheaper ^^’

    @Aya: Can’t blame you for resisting, I’m finding myself dropping figures nowadays because I don’t know much about them, lack of space is such an annoying thing -_-

    Not much ideas for the shots with props, so just tossed something together and I guess it shows ^^; Think I did kind of realize that the shots didn’t turn out too great but I’m too lazy to reshoot and all that :/

    @ron~: Haha, am familiar with too many figures and games coming in as well, thankfully the budget allowed for me to squeeze her in at that point without too dire consequences :p

    @Belela-san: Since it’s GSC, I’m not worried too much, and the legs felt pretty solid while inserting the rod. In a rather twisted sense, if the figure leans and I’m forced to retire her, that means one extra slot for another figure! ^^; Heheh… Matter all sorted out, thanks xD

    @rain: If you do get the chance to grab her somewhere down the road, grab her! You won’t be disappointed ;)

    @Radiant: You don’t strike me as being selective sometimes though :p The things you buy on a whim puts me to shame even xD

    No fluorescent light used, for my case at least, HDR doesn’t mix quite well with RAW since I don’t tweak the temperature in RAW first before processing, so I usually just go with the final product PShop throws at me, laziness has it’s price I suppose -_-”

    @AS: Yeah her face is pretty chubby, in some scenes of the anime, it looks even worse :p Up till now I still have no real clue what she looks like generally, bad anime production I guess ^^;

    @lu-k: You’re always welcome to get back at me with Primula :p I’m soooo on the edge over her now and all I need now is a friendly push in the right direction xD

    6k Yen is rather expensive, but I’ve somehow gotten used to the prices of GSC stuff nowadays, just means more instant noodles for me thats all :p

    @Samejima: It really wasn’t a drop-everything-else-and-watch-it kind of anime for sure. Didn’t help that subs were friggin slow during the run =/ Depending on which set of photos you meant, the green background was stick-on wallpaper, and the other one was just some kind of mat used for laying your plates and all that on the dinner table =)
